MotoGuzzi Griso
M-E 135
The Moto Guzzi Griso has always been a motorcycle apart. Produced in relatively limited numbers and never designed to follow trends, it quickly became a cult machine among enthusiasts who appreciate character, mechanical authenticity and unconventional design. Its unmistakable transverse V-twin engine, exposed to the eye, is the heart of its identity.
The project started with a complete redesign of the bodywork. Every panel was carefully reworked. Some sections were opened up, others closed and reshaped to create a cleaner and more dynamic silhouette.
The seat was entirely redesigned, both in shape and upholstery. Its profile was refined to better match the flowing lines of the Griso, while the custom stitching echoes the paintwork and reinforces the premium character of the build.
To modernize the front end, the original headlight was replaced with a high-performance LED unit, providing both improved visibility and a sharper visual signature. Throughout the bike, all previously grey components were refinished in black, including the handlebars, risers, cylinder heads and numerous other details. This transformation creates a stronger contrast and allows the paintwork and engine architecture to take center stage.
When our client arrived at Meister Engineering, he already knew exactly what he wanted: to take this rare and charismatic platform and transform it into something even more exclusive, while preserving everything that makes a Griso special.
The side covers were shortened and opened to reveal more of the magnificent Moto Guzzi V-twin, allowing the cylinder heads and mechanical details to become an integral part of the design. At the rear, the bodywork was modified to integrate far more discreet lighting, giving the bike a cleaner and more refined appearance.
For the paint scheme, we took inspiration from the original Griso graphics but reinterpreted them in a more elegant and exclusive way. The deep metallic green finish is contrasted by subtle gold accents, creating a sophisticated combination that highlights the unique lines of the motorcycle.
The exhaust system was replaced with a custom EXAN setup, enhancing both the sound and the visual balance of the motorcycle while staying true to the character of the legendary Moto Guzzi twin.
The result is a motorcycle that remains unmistakably a Griso, yet feels more focused, more modern and more exclusive. A rare machine transformed into a true one-off, built around the vision of its owner and the craftsmanship of Meister Engineering.
