A Tribute to Speed, Refined for the Road

The foundation of this project is the Triumph Bonneville T214 Limited Edition, a motorcycle created to celebrate one of Triumph’s most legendary achievements. The T214 pays tribute to the record-breaking streamliner that reached 214 mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1956, a milestone that helped establish Triumph as one of the most iconic names in motorcycling history.

Powered by Triumph’s charismatic 865cc parallel-twin engine, the T214 combines classic British styling with modern reliability. Produced as a limited-edition model, it features distinctive blue-and-white bodywork and several exclusive details that make it a highly collectible version of the modern Bonneville.

For this build, our objective was clear from the beginning: enhance the motorcycle without losing the character that makes the T214 special. Rather than creating a radical transformation, we focused on refining the design, simplifying the lines, and highlighting the timeless proportions of the Bonneville platform.

A custom-made black seat was developed specifically for this project. Because the T214 is a limited-edition motorcycle, we deliberately chose a restrained design that respects the original spirit of the bike. The seat retains classic proportions while offering improved finishing and a more premium handcrafted appearance.

The side covers were refinished in satin black, creating a stronger visual connection with the engine, frame, and chassis components. This darker treatment emphasizes the fuel tank while giving the motorcycle a more cohesive and contemporary look.

To finish the transformation, the front end received a shortened black front fender, a new headlight assembly, and custom headlight brackets. These modifications simplify the design and remove unnecessary visual bulk, giving the Bonneville a sharper and more focused appearance while remaining faithful to its heritage.

This Bonneville T214 demonstrates how thoughtful craftsmanship and restrained modifications can elevate an already iconic motorcycle while preserving everything that made it special in the first place.

One of the most significant modifications is the rear section. The original frame was shortened and fitted with our Meister Engineering homologated rear loop, fully approved for Swiss road use and officially registered as a two-seater conversion with DTC certification. The result is a much cleaner and more balanced silhouette while maintaining full practicality.

To complement the new rear end, we fabricated a short rear fender and minimalist license plate holder, reducing visual weight and giving the bike a lighter, more purposeful appearance. The rear profile now feels considerably more compact while remaining elegant and functional.

At the cockpit, the original handlebar was replaced with a lower and sportier unit, improving both the riding position and the overall stance of the motorcycle. We completed the front end with a set of bar-end mirrors, a subtle detail that contributes to the cleaner café-racer-inspired aesthetic without compromising usability.
