Ducati Scrambler 800
M-E 104
Sometimes the best custom motorcycles are the ones that look as if they could have left the factory exactly this way.
The Ducati Scrambler 800 has become one of the most iconic modern motorcycles of the last decade. Introduced in 2014, it combines Ducati’s air-cooled L-twin engine with a lightweight chassis and a minimalist design inspired by the scramblers of the 1960s and 70s. With its playful character, accessible performance and timeless styling, it provides an excellent platform for tasteful customization.
A pair of discreet front indicators and custom side panels further simplify the overall appearance. A small Unit Garage side bag was also added, providing practical storage while reinforcing the bike’s adventure-inspired Scrambler spirit.
At the rear, we fabricated a custom aluminum fender and matching license plate support. Small 3-in-1 LED rear lights were integrated into the design, combining taillight, brake light and indicators into a compact and elegant solution that keeps the rear section exceptionally clean.
To finish the transformation, the front end received a shortened black front fender, a new headlight assembly, and custom headlight brackets. These modifications simplify the design and remove unnecessary visual bulk, giving the Bonneville a sharper and more focused appearance while remaining faithful to its heritage.
The original silver exhaust system was replaced by a beautiful Unit Garage exhaust. As the official Swiss importer for Unit Garage products, we selected a fully road-homologated system that delivers a deeper, more characterful sound while remaining legal for everyday use.
For this project, our goal was not to reinvent the Scrambler, but rather to refine and enhance what Ducati had already done so well. We wanted every modification to feel natural, as if it had always belonged on the motorcycle.
The rear section was completely redesigned with our Meister Engineering homologated rear frame. The chassis was shortened and fitted with our signature rear loop, creating a cleaner and more balanced silhouette while remaining fully road legal and registered.
One of the defining features of this build is its subtlety. Unlike many radical customs, this motorcycle retains much of its original character. The modifications blend seamlessly into the design, making the bike appear almost factory-built at first glance.
To complete the package, the motorcycle was fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires. Their distinctive tread pattern adds just the right amount of off-road character while maintaining excellent road manners, making them one of our favorite tire choices for modern Scrambler builds.
To complement the new rear end, we handcrafted a bespoke seat in our workshop. Its slim profile follows the lines of the fuel tank perfectly while preserving the Scrambler’s everyday comfort and versatility.
This Ducati perfectly illustrates our philosophy: taking an already excellent motorcycle and carefully improving every detail without losing its soul. The result is a machine that feels timeless, functional and unmistakably factory-quality—only sharper, cleaner and more personal.
