At the rear, an Öhlins shock absorber provides exceptional damping performance and transforms the riding experience compared to the original setup.

The handcrafted Hattech exhaust system was designed as an integral part of the motorcycle rather than an accessory.

Viewed from the side, its lines naturally follow the geometry of the frame, visually extending the motorcycle while providing an aggressive yet elegant stance.

The short exhaust route improves gas flow while creating the deep, mechanical sound that perfectly complements the character of the boxer engine.

The front headlight was developed around a unique multi-projector LED assembly.

More than a functional component, it became a design feature in its own right, giving the motorcycle a distinctive identity both day and night while providing lighting performance far beyond the original system.

A Motogadget Chronoclassic instrument provides modern electronics within a timeless analog design, while the Motogadget bar-end mirror maintains the clean lines of the cockpit.

The rear of the motorcycle features a Meister Engineering rear frame with integrated lighting.

The taillights are seamlessly incorporated into the bodywork, creating an exceptionally clean appearance without disrupting the overall design.

The custom Alcantara saddle follows the same philosophy, combining comfort with minimalist styling. Its warm brown tone perfectly matches the handlebar grips and provides a refined contrast to the darker mechanical components.

Introduced at the end of the Airhead era, the BMW R80 Mystic was BMW’s final evolution of the legendary two-valve boxer platform. Lighter and more agile than many of its touring-oriented siblings, the Mystic combined classic BMW reliability with a more dynamic riding experience, making it one of the most desirable Airheads for enthusiasts today.

This project started from a BMW R80 Mystic and was reimagined from the ground up, while elevating every aspect of the machine.

The centerpiece of the build is undoubtedly the fuel tank, finished in a deep British Racing Green with hand-laid gold leaf pinstriping.

The elegant combination of dark metallic green, black finishes and warm brown Alcantara creates a timeless aesthetic that feels both luxurious and purposeful.

Small gold accents are repeated throughout the motorcycle, creating visual continuity and reinforcing the premium character of the build.

At the heart of the build sits a fully revised 1000cc boxer engine.

The entire drivetrain, including engine, gearbox and final drive, was refinished in satin black, while the cooling fins were individually hand-sanded to create the distinctive contrast between black surfaces and polished aluminum edges.

Combined with the custom Hattech exhaust system, the engine delivers strong torque, an unmistakable boxer soundtrack and effortless acceleration throughout the rev range.

The wheels were completely rebuilt using stainless steel spokes and powder-coated rims.

Every cast aluminum component, including the engine, gearbox, swingarm and final drive housing, received a black finish before being carefully detailed to reveal the machined edges.

The handlebar controls operate through a custom electronic control unit hidden beneath the motorcycle. Minimalist push buttons replace conventional switchgear, reducing visual clutter while maintaining full functionality.

The gold anodized buttons subtly echo the gold leaf details of the fuel tank.

The custom diamond-stitched seat remains comfortable for both rider and passenger, making the motorcycle perfectly suited for everyday riding, weekend escapes and long-distance journeys. It retains the versatility and comfort that made the original R100RS such a success while offering dramatically improved handling, braking and overall riding pleasure.
