HONDA CB750 K
M-E 132
Some motorcycles are transformed by adding more. Others are transformed by taking things away.
First introduced at the end of the 1960s and refined throughout the following decade, the Honda CB750 became one of the most influential motorcycles ever built. Its smooth inline-four engine, electric start and everyday reliability helped define the modern superbike. By the early 1980s, the CB750K remained a comfortable and capable road machine, designed for versatility rather than outright performance
The original wheels were refinished in black and paired with Firestone Deluxe Champion tires. Their distinctive vintage tread pattern reinforces the timeless character of the build while providing the visual balance that defines classic café racers. Combined with the black wheels and lowered stance, they give the motorcycle a much more aggressive presence.
Considering the performance potential of the CB750's four-cylinder engine, upgrading the front end was a natural choice. A black inverted fork assembly dramatically improves chassis precision, braking feel and rider confidence while perfectly complementing the bike's modern café racer aesthetic.
This conversion is fully covered by our DTC homologation package, ensuring complete Swiss road legality. We have developed and certified similar front-end conversions for Honda CB models as well as BMW Airheads and BMW K-Series motorcycles, offering one of the most effective upgrades available for classic motorcycles.
The rear section was completely redesigned to create a lighter and more purposeful profile. The original frame was shortened and fitted with a custom rear loop, while a handcrafted full-grain leather café racer seat was developed specifically for the project. The result is a much more compact motorcycle, with proportions that visually lower the bike and emphasize the fuel tank.
While many custom builds sacrifice rideability for appearance, this CB750 was engineered to retain the qualities that made the original motorcycle so successful. The factory airbox was intentionally preserved to maintain proper carburetion and dependable performance. The battery was relocated beneath the seat, allowing the frame triangle to remain visually clean without compromising reliability.
The original exhaust system was replaced by a lightweight 4-into-1 setup. Besides reducing weight significantly, the new exhaust enhances the visual flow of the motorcycle by exposing more of the engine while emphasizing the mechanical beauty of Honda's legendary inline-four powerplant.
A fully integrated LED headlight sits tightly between the fork tubes, reinforcing the motorcycle's compact proportions. At the rear, discreet 3-in-1 LED indicators combine turn signals, brake light and running light functions into a single unit. Together with the side-mounted license plate holder, these details allow the visual line of the motorcycle to remain uninterrupted from front to rear.
A Motogadget Chronoclassic Pro instrument provides all essential information in a compact package while maintaining a classic appearance. Blending modern technology with vintage styling, it perfectly reflects the philosophy behind the entire build.
The cockpit was designed around simplicity and functionality. Compact integrated switchgear and mini levers keep visual clutter to an absolute minimum, while the wiring has been carefully routed through the handlebars wherever possible. The result is a remarkably clean front end that highlights the essential elements of the motorcycle.
The engine was completely serviced and refreshed during the build. Beyond aesthetics, the goal was to ensure that the motorcycle rides as well as it looks, combining the character of a classic Honda four-cylinder with the reliability expected from a modern custom motorcycle.
