Triumph Bonneville T120
M-E 138
Starting from a modern Triumph Bonneville, this build was designed around one simple objective: achieving the perfect balance between classic British styling and a cleaner, more purposeful silhouette.
The paintwork is entirely bespoke. Finished in a unique matte metallic shade blending copper, grey and bronze tones, it gives the motorcycle a sophisticated presence that changes subtly depending on the light. To further reinforce the monochromatic theme, all originally chrome components were refinished in black, including the wheels and numerous chassis details. The headlight shell was painted to match the fuel tank and side covers, creating a seamless visual flow from front to rear.
A particularly special detail is the hand-painted Triumph script on the tank, created by our painter Stéphanie. The gold lettering echoes the finish of the premium Öhlins rear shock reservoirs, creating a subtle but elegant connection throughout the build.
To complete the Scrambler-inspired stance, the bike rides on Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres. Their aggressive tread pattern brings a rugged, adventurous look while maintaining outstanding road manners and confidence in everyday riding.
One of the first modifications was the rear section. We shortened the chassis and fabricated a custom welded rear loop to create a much better proportion between the seat and the fuel tank — an area where many Bonnevilles tend to feel visually stretched. The result is a tighter, more cohesive line while retaining full passenger capability and road-legal two-seat homologation.
The bodywork was refined with slimmer fenders, a discreet rear mudguard extension, miniature indicators and carefully selected details that enhance the motorcycle without distracting from its timeless design. The custom-made saddle, upholstered in rich cognac brown leather, perfectly complements the overall concept and adds warmth to the otherwise understated color palette.
Performance and riding dynamics were not overlooked. The rear suspension is handled by top-of-the-line Öhlins shocks, offering exceptional comfort, control and feedback. The motorcycle is fitted with fully homologated Zard exhaust silencers, delivering a deeper and more characterful sound while remaining road legal. The exhaust headers have been wrapped to eliminate excessive chrome highlights and contribute to the bike’s cleaner, more purposeful appearance.
As with all Meister Engineering projects, aesthetics are only one part of the equation. The custom rear frame, bodywork modifications, lighting system and chassis alterations have all been tested and certified through the Dynamic Test Center (DTC) in Switzerland. Comparable to, and often considered even more rigorous than, the German TÜV, the DTC approval ensures that every modification is fully documented, legally registered and officially entered into the vehicle registration documents.
The result is a motorcycle that feels effortlessly elegant: modern yet timeless, refined yet purposeful. A custom Bonneville built to be ridden every day, while standing apart from every other Triumph on the road.
