Ducati 900SS

M-E 142

Starting with a 2000 Ducati 900SS, our objective was clear: create a machine that captures the spirit of a pure racing motorcycle while remaining fully road legal and practical to ride.

One of the most distinctive elements of this build is the front fairing. Designed and adapted specifically for this project, it integrates an ultra-compact certified headlight, allowing us to dramatically reduce the visual mass of the front end. The result is a much cleaner and more aggressive silhouette that closely resembles a dedicated race bike while still providing fully homologated road lighting.

To complement the racing-inspired lines, the frame was refinished in a stunning gold finish, perfectly matching the rare anodized gold OZ Racing wheels. For the bodywork, we selected an elegant British Racing Green-inspired paintwork, a timeless combination that creates a sophisticated contrast with the gold chassis. The warm brown Alcantara seat, leather trim and matching handcrafted grips complete the package and add a touch of luxury rarely found on motorcycles of this type.

The result is a unique Ducati that successfully blends racing heritage, refined craftsmanship and Swiss engineering precision — a motorcycle that looks equally at home on a race paddock, a mountain pass or displayed as a rolling piece of automotive art.

At the rear, the transformation continues with a handcrafted subframe and custom rear loop designed specifically for this motorcycle. The perfectly rounded tail section incorporates discreet 3-in-1 LED lights combining taillights, brake lights and indicators into a single unit. Remove the license plate holder, and the bike instantly takes on the appearance of a genuine track machine.

Performance was equally important throughout the project. The bike is equipped with an Öhlins rear shock absorber, Brembo braking system, inverted front forks and Remus exhaust silencers, delivering a riding experience that is significantly sharper while preserving the character of Ducati's legendary air-cooled twin-cylinder engine.

As with all Meister Engineering projects, aesthetics are only one part of the equation. The custom rear frame, bodywork modifications, lighting system and chassis alterations have all been tested and certified through the Dynamic Test Center (DTC) in Switzerland. Comparable to, and often considered even more rigorous than, the German TÜV, the DTC approval ensures that every modification is fully documented, legally registered and officially entered into the vehicle registration documents.
