The rear of the motorcycle was completely redesigned around our Meister Engineering homologated rear subframe. A bespoke rear fender, integrated taillight and handcrafted seat create a much lighter silhouette, giving the bike a clean café racer profile without sacrificing practicality or road legality.

A pair of custom-made fenders was developed specifically for this build, perfectly following the lines of the wheels while keeping the design light and refined. Combined with the shortened rear section, they give the motorcycle a balanced stance that feels both classic and contemporary.

Performance is enhanced by a beautifully crafted Hattech exhaust system, delivering a deeper boxer soundtrack while complementing the motorcycle's elegant lines. Beyond the sound, the lightweight system reinforces the premium character of the build.

Starting with a late-1980s / early-1990s BMW R80RT Monolever, the goal of this project was to strip away the touring appearance and create a sleek, understated café racer with an elegant, almost timeless presence. Every modification was chosen to highlight the purity of the iconic BMW boxer while giving the motorcycle a modern premium finish.

To reinforce the minimalist design, the engine, gearbox, final drive and wheel rims were all refinished in satin black. This monochrome treatment visually unifies the entire motorcycle while allowing the mechanical beauty of the air-cooled boxer engine to remain the centre of attention.

At the front, a classic Bates headlight mounted on custom-made brackets creates a clean and purposeful cockpit. The same Bates design language continues at the rear with a matching taillight, ensuring visual consistency from every angle while preserving the timeless spirit of traditional café racers.

One of the defining elements of this motorcycle is its stunning BMW Midnight Blue paintwork. Depending on the light, the colour shifts between an almost black finish and a rich metallic blue, giving the motorcycle exceptional depth and sophistication. It is a subtle finish that rewards a closer look and perfectly reflects the refined personality of this build.
