Triumph Bonneville T100

M-E 76

Timeless British Heritage, Reimagined

When its owner brought this T100 to Meister Engineering, the vision was clear: create a motorcycle that felt even more timeless, more mechanical, and more authentic than the original. The goal was not to transform the Bonneville into something completely different, but rather to enhance its vintage soul and reveal the raw beauty hidden beneath its modern factory finish.

To complement this new silhouette, we fabricated a custom rear fender and integrated a minimalist license plate holder along with a classic Bates-style taillight. Up front, a matching Bates headlight replaces the original unit, giving the motorcycle a cleaner and more traditional appearance while preserving excellent functionality.

The cockpit was completely refreshed with a new handlebar and a Motogadget Chronoclassic instrument, combining modern technology with vintage aesthetics. This single gauge perfectly captures the spirit of the project: classic at first glance, sophisticated underneath. Matching brown grips were selected to echo the handcrafted leather seat, creating a coherent visual language throughout the motorcycle.

The Triumph Bonneville T100 is one of the most iconic motorcycles ever produced. Inspired by the legendary British twins of the 1960s, it combines classic styling with modern reliability, delivering a riding experience that is smooth, characterful, and effortlessly enjoyable. With its air-cooled-inspired parallel twin engine, elegant proportions, and unmistakable silhouette, the Bonneville has become a benchmark for riders seeking authenticity without compromise.

One of the most defining changes was the installation of Firestone tires. Their distinctive profile immediately gives the motorcycle a stronger vintage presence, transforming the stance and creating a look reminiscent of classic British customs and early post-war motorcycles. Combined with the lowered rear suspension, the bike sits lower, longer, and more purposeful.

The exhaust system was also redesigned. The original silencers were replaced with elegant conical mufflers, while the headers received heat wrap to reinforce the handcrafted aesthetic. This combination not only enhances the visual character of the motorcycle but also emphasizes the raw mechanical nature of Triumph’s parallel twin engine.

A major part of the project focused on the fuel tank. Rather than hiding the metal beneath layers of paint, the owner wanted the craftsmanship itself to remain visible. The original finish was carefully sanded back, leaving subtle traces of the preparation process visible beneath the final clear coat. Inspired by classic Triumph graphics, we created a restrained design featuring traditional knee-pad shapes and period-correct Triumph lettering. The result is a tank that feels authentic, honest, and beautifully aged from day one.

Practicality was never forgotten. The custom leather seat was designed for comfort during everyday riding, while dedicated mounting points allow the installation of a side bag for touring or daily use. Matte black side covers were added to create contrast against the brushed metal tank and to visually simplify the motorcycle’s profile.

The finished Bonneville T100 embodies everything we love about modern classics. It is raw yet refined, understated yet full of character. A motorcycle that feels as though it could have rolled out of a British workshop decades ago—while offering the reliability and usability expected from a modern machine.
