Triumph Scrambler 900

Vintage British Spirit, Reimagined

For this project, we wanted to push the bike further toward a true vintage scrambler aesthetic while preserving the charm that made the original machine so appealing. The centerpiece of the transformation is a Honda CB200 fuel tank, carefully adapted to the Triumph chassis. Its slimmer proportions and classic shape immediately evoke the spirit of 1970s off-road motorcycles and create a much lighter visual profile.

To achieve a perfectly flowing silhouette, we designed and fabricated a shortened rear frame section, fully homologated for road use. The new subframe aligns seamlessly with the Honda tank, creating one continuous line from front to rear. The tail is finished with a handcrafted aluminum rear fender and a chromed Bates taillight, reinforcing the minimalist vintage look.

The exhaust system was completely redesigned using a low-mounted 2-into-2 homologated setup. This configuration not only improves the visual balance of the motorcycle but also highlights the parallel-twin engine while delivering a cleaner and more classic scrambler profile than the original high pipes.

The cockpit received the same attention to detail. A homologated chromed handlebar was fitted together with discreet integrated mini-switches hidden within the controls for a cleaner and more refined finish. A mesh-covered headlight protection grille adds a subtle competition-inspired touch while reinforcing the motorcycle’s rugged scrambler character.

The Triumph Scrambler 900 Carburetor represents the final chapter of Triumph’s classic air-cooled, carbureted twin-cylinder era. Combining timeless British styling with modern reliability, it quickly became one of the most desirable platforms for custom builders thanks to its characterful engine, upright riding position, and unmistakable scrambler DNA.

Unlike many modern scrambler builds that eliminate every trace of chrome, we deliberately preserved some of the original Triumph character. The chrome wheel rims, rear shock absorbers, and selected brightwork remain, creating a beautiful contrast with the darker mechanical components and giving the bike an authentic period-correct appearance.

A bespoke seat was handcrafted in our workshop and trimmed in premium brown leather. Extending onto the tank in the style of classic Honda racing and scrambler machines, the upholstery creates a distinctive visual signature while adding warmth and craftsmanship to the overall design.

The result is a motorcycle that feels as if it could have rolled out of a British workshop in the early 1970s—yet benefits from the reliability, performance, and rideability of Triumph’s legendary final-generation carbureted Scrambler 900.
