BMW K100
M-E 95
Born from an Icon
For this build, the objective was clear: preserve the mechanical soul of the original machine while transforming its appearance and riding dynamics into something far more modern and engaging. The entire motorcycle was stripped back to its essentials before being rebuilt around a cleaner, lighter, and more aggressive silhouette inspired by contemporary café racer design.
A key element of the transformation is the installation of the Meister Engineering Retroride suspension package. The front end features an inverted fork conversion, bringing a significant improvement in rigidity, braking feel, and rider confidence. Combined with modern wheels, upgraded braking components, and revised geometry, the result is a K100 that feels decades younger than its original counterpart while maintaining full road-going practicality.
The BMW K100 remains one of the most significant motorcycles ever produced by BMW Motorrad. Introduced in the 1980s, its longitudinal four-cylinder engine, remarkable reliability, and unmistakable engineering character earned it legendary status among enthusiasts worldwide. Decades later, the K100 continues to provide one of the most compelling foundations for high-end custom motorcycle projects.
The cockpit was completely redesigned around a minimalist philosophy, integrating modern instrumentation and electronics while keeping visual clutter to an absolute minimum. Every component was selected to enhance the riding experience without distracting from the motorcycle's distinctive architecture. The result is a machine that combines classic BMW engineering with contemporary functionality and precision.
Beyond aesthetics, this project was built to be ridden. The upgraded suspension, revised ergonomics, and carefully tuned chassis create a motorcycle that is equally comfortable carving through mountain roads or covering longer distances. The legendary smoothness of the K100 engine remains intact, complemented by a sharper, more responsive riding experience.
Like every Meister Engineering creation, this K100 was designed with a focus on balance, proportion, and engineering integrity. Rather than simply modifying a motorcycle, the goal was to create a machine that feels as though it could have left the factory this way—a timeless reinterpretation of a BMW icon, blending classic heritage with modern performance and craftsmanship.
