The Kawasaki W800: Modern Engineering, Timeless Soul
From the beginning, this project was developed around a single idea: creating a motorcycle that would be both understated and commanding. The entire build follows a monochrome black theme, carefully balancing elegance and aggression. Rather than relying on flashy colors or excessive modifications, the focus was placed on proportions, textures, and subtle details that reveal themselves the longer you look.
Numerous bespoke components were created to achieve the desired look. The front headlight was replaced and mounted using custom-made brackets, while both front and rear fenders were redesigned specifically for this project. A handcrafted rear license plate holder further cleans up the rear section, resulting in a more compact and purposeful silhouette. Even the instrument cluster received attention, with the gauge bezels refinished in gloss black for a more cohesive appearance.
The Kawasaki W800 is one of the last true retro motorcycles built with an authentic connection to motorcycling's golden age. Inspired by Kawasaki's legendary vertical-twin machines of the 1960s, it combines classic proportions, a charismatic air-cooled engine, and modern reliability. Its timeless silhouette makes it an ideal platform for a refined custom build that respects the spirit of the original while elevating every detail.
The custom paintwork was developed specifically for this motorcycle, giving the W800 a deeper and more sophisticated visual presence. To complement the bodywork, the seat was reworked and upholstered in premium leather, creating a cleaner and more tailored appearance. Every element was selected to reinforce the motorcycle's premium character while maintaining the simplicity that defines the best custom motorcycles.
Beyond aesthetics, the motorcycle received several upgrades designed to improve the riding experience. A pair of Wilbers Black Edition rear shock absorbers provides enhanced comfort and control, while a Renthal handlebar offers a more engaging riding position. Homologated Remus silencers, combined with matte-black ceramic-coated exhausts, deliver a deeper and richer soundtrack while preserving everyday usability and full road legality.

A timeless Kawasaki transformed into a darker, sharper, and more sophisticated interpretation of modern classic motorcycling.
